Hi,
Yash your statement is a valid one, that there are a lot of irresponsible people on the road, hence it becomes all the more important to be protected all the time. Because accidents are not in your control, only precaution is. Hence helmets and riding gear is important. But where I differ to most people is, govt making it compulsory. The government should bring about awareness and make all info available, and let people decide. If someone thinks that a head injury is a better choice than head sweat so be it. If he can decide for the govt (vote) he can decide for himself.

You are right buddy but not completely…just dont forget about those cases (which mostly happen in our country only) when you are standing on a red light and some less educated taxi driver bangs u up from behind and u are thrown off ur bike..wot wud be the consequences if u are not wearing helmet or for that matter a proper riding gear….and i have just mentioned crazy taxi drivers only….

Sirjee i completely agree i dont say that one should not wear a helmet.the simple point is that if one takes proper care and precaution helmet is nt tht important but if someone drives recklessly even riding gear wont save his life

You are right to an extent. But just the simple fact that, if you were wearing a helmet could cut the chance of a head injury which could prove fatal and a save a life.People have died albeit wearing a helmet,and at times, a complete riding gear for that sake.
But that doesn’t mean one stops taking precautions!

Dude, you wear or don’t wear a helmet…its how you ride that matters the most…there are people who have been riding since the times when the helmet funda was not compulsory and riding dangerous machines like Yamaha RX-100 and used to hardly encounter minor accidents that too sheer negligence of the other commuters..and now-a-days the accidents rate has gone way ugly…its not because of helmet or anything else but the way a rider rides his machine…people don’t know to ride properly and take out speed machines which they cant control and get into trouble alongwith dragging others in it…so its simple that helmet is not a factor but even the rider has to ride his machine responsibly
