The KTM 390 Duke has to be among the most talked about motorcycles of recent times. The 390 Duke is also the most eagerly awaited bike in the fast emerging Indian two wheelers market. There have been plenty of rumours that state that the new bike will be launched in India in May-July period of this year.
There is absolutely no denying that a confirmed date for the KTM 390 Duke India launch is unavailable. However, it is for sure that Indian biking aficionados are looking all set to be treated to a worldclass product by Bajaj-KTM in near future.
We reported in detail when the first ever set of spy pics of KTM 390 Duke at the production facility of Bajaj leaked on to the cyber space. It may be noted that Bajaj plans to employ heavy localization for the manufacturing of the new KTM 390 Duke.
Regulars here would also remember that we recently posted spy pics of KTM 390 Duke being tested on Indian soil. These pics showed that the on board fuel economy calculator of the bike read an amazing 38kmpl and the bike sported Metzeler tyres. The KTM 390 Duke would get optional ABS unit that can be switched on or off by the rider. The KTM 390 Duke’s ABS unit is manufactured by German biggie Bosch.
The all new KTM 390 Duke is expected to be launched at a price of around INR 2 lakhs. At this price, the new Katoom is sure to kick open the gates to an all new segment of Indian performance biking.
