Just in! Audi launches Q7 4.2 TDI and Displays Sportback Concept- updated on 5th Jan at 5:30 pm

Audi has launched the Q7 4.2 TDI at the Auto Expo. The 4134cc engine produces a maximum power and torque of 343.3PS and 760Nm respectively giving an average of 10 kms to a litre. The 0 to 100kmp mark is reportedly claimed to reach in 6.4 seconds. Prior to this engine launch, Audi was offering the Q7 with a choice of 3.0 TDI, 3.6 FSI and 4.2 FSI engine options. The German automotive marquee also revealed that production of the Q5 is slated to begin in India! Audi will also be offering buyers a limited edition A6 retailing for Rs.37 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai. At its Auto Expo stall, Audi is also showcasing the Sportback Concept powered by a 3.0 litre V6 TDI powerplant.

R8 Sypder

The R8 has been well received ever since it was launched in the country. Our sources are hinting that the blokes from Audi are contemplating the launch the R8’s drop top sibling as well – the Spyder. The R8 Spyder is powered by the same 5.2-litre FSI V10 which powers the R8 V10. The car is expected be showcased at the Auto Expo alongside the R8 V10.

R8 V10

The much talked about R8 V10 is set to make its Indian debut at the 10th Auto Expo. The car is powered by a V10 engine displacing 5.2-litre of madness! We are expecting the display model to boast of the sparkling Red colour which has created hype throughout the world (including Italy). We are expecting the car to be priced in the Rs. 1.75-2 crore price bracket when it goes on sale in our country. More details when we are back.

New A8

Audi recently showcased the A8 luxury sedan at a lustrous function in Miami. The Auto Expo though lesser in magnitude, will play host to the unveiling of the A8 once again, this time for the Indian audience. The A8 hasn’t taken off all that well in India against the Mercedes Benz S-class, however the new version is expected to change the limo’s fortunes. A clearer picture on the car’s plans for India will be showcased at the Expo. Stay tuned…

Audi’s exhibit as usual will be grand one with various vehicles that signify their technological strength, innovative design and precision engineering. It goes without saying that their current models viz. A4, A6, A8, Q5, Q7, TT and R8 will be on display at the exhibit. Apart from these, we are expecting its Le Mans Legend, the R10 TDI to be the centre of attraction as well.
