Bajaj Discover 125 ST launched in Tamil Nadu @ INR 55740

Some time back, Motoroids became the first website to test the all new Bajaj Discover 125 ST. Regulars here might remember that we are pretty much impressed by the new bike and liked the way it takes forward the executive commuter segment. Now, Bajaj Auto has launches the new bike at Tamilnadu. The bike comes with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 55,740.

Bajaj Auto President (Motorcycle Business) K Srinivas said, “Discover ST is not an upgrade to a Discover model, but a new product in B-segment (125cc). It constitutes almost 17 per cent of the market (in the motorcycle segment) of which we have around 30 per cent market share. What we are hoping through this product is more customers will migrate to this segment.”

He added, “Our hope is that customers in the ‘A segment’ will migrate to this and we also gain some market share through this distinguished product. It will be suffice to say we are doing close to 50,000 units in the 125 cc segment. We will be very surprised if we do not increase that number substantially.”

Bajaj Discover 125 ST has first in segment features like a Monoshock suspension and petal disk brake. The motor gets the four valve DTS-i tech and pumps out a decent 13bhp- 10.8 Nm.
