We aren’t big fans of the old American wagons, in fact, apart from a few muscle cars, there are no American vehicles that we really look up to. However, there is one wagon that we adore for it ‘think different’ attitude and that is the Chevrolet Woody Wagon. And if you haven’t heard of it, you have probably seen this weird looking vehicle in a scale model form some toy shop nor the other. So when Chevrolet showed this one-off Beat ‘Woody’ art car, it instantly caught our attention.

Unlike the Woddy Wagon, the art car boasts of a detailed wood-grain effect vinyl that wraps around the rear door and quarter-panel. To add to the retro theme, this Beat / Spark is also shod with whitewall tyres! However, Chevy has no intentions of putting this wonderful looking car into production – not even as a special / limited edition. In fact this art car recalls the late fifties and sixties of USA when the country was smitten by the surf board movement – and thats exactly why this art car dons a surf board atop its roof. The car was used in the public drive that kicked off the annual Boardmasters surf, skate and music festival in the UK and was also be present at the grand finale of the 2010 “Young? Creative? Chevrolet!” arts competition which will take place in Paris on the eve of the Paris Motor Show, at the designer’s meet.
