Fiat recently enthralled its customers by inviting them to a factory visit in Ranjangaon, Pune. The opportunity to visit the factory to understand how their beloved cars are manufactured was given to them. All the members who were invited are members of Team Fiat India (TFI – A dedicated online forum for new Generation Fiat Car owners and enthusiasts). There was an overwhelming response for the registrations; however only 200 Fiat cars (More than 500 lucky members, which included the families of registered members) were finally given the nod.

The venue- Fiat’s Ranjangaon Plant was proud and happy by embracing its children coming back from different corners of the country.

People entering the factory were given a glimpse of their full range of current and possible future vehicles – The Linea, The Grande Punto, The Iconic 500, The Beasty Bravo and The Breath Taking Alpha Romeo159.Customers were allowed to touch, sit and feel the vehicles in flesh.

Fiat welcomed the customers from all over the country with Tea and Snacks. After the warm welcome, the energetic host Mr.Marius, the Corporate Communications Man, started the proceedings by introducing the Top management of Fiat to the guests. Then The CEO Mr.Gurupratap Boparai & Fiat Commercial MD Mr.Enrico Atanasio explained Fiat’s standing and future plans worldwide and for India. The recent record breaker our own Motoroid Prabhakar AVR (Probiker) was called on to the stage to talk about his achievements.  He spoke about the pivotal role of his dear Punto in breaking the records, which were set by Big engine SUV’s. He further added that he would break some more endurance records in four wheeler category with the same Punto proving the strength and quality of the engineering which went into the car.

Later a question and Answer session was opened to the floor by Marius. The replies by the Fiat management in this session clearly demonstrated that Fiat is very serious in ensuring and establishing a highly satisfied and dedicated customer base with every car they sell. Fiat has reasserted that they have planned and are executing the plan accordingly which ensures dedicated and high quality sales and service network in India. They even mentioned that Fiat is getting Models like Abarth to India, once they develop the network in a picture perfect way.

After this the proud owners were taken around the plant explaining how their drives were born. The Body Shop, The main assembly line and Fiat Powertrain technology (Where engine and gear boxes were made) were shown to demonstrate the stringent quality measures and procedures were explained for a flawless outcome.

Delicious Lunch was provided to the guests. There was a short quiz by the host Mr. Marius, where simple questions were asked and a Fiat branded Wall clock was given to the TFIans who gave the answers. Almost 50 people got the Wall Clocks.

There was a counter selling Fiat branded Items like Tees, key chains, Scale Model Cars, Wall clocks, Pandas etc. All the customers were given a cute little Panda as a Goodie for visiting the plant.
