That the Ford EcoSport compact SUV is close to stepping into the fast emerging Indian car market is a known fact. While the car has been caught testing on Indian roads on numerous occasions, the Ford EcoSport India Launch date is subject to a lot of speculations.
We reported when Ford India tweeted that they will soon make a big announcement. This is enough for all of us to believe that the automaker is readying itself to announce the launch of the EcoSport compact SUV. Rumours have been abound of a March end/early April launch for the Ford EcoSport and now, a new rumour has suddenly surfaced on the cyber space. The good folks at TopGear India are saying that the Ford EcoSport might be launched on March 4, which is merely 4 days away from us. While we all knew that the EcoSport would be launched only after the announcement of the new Union budget, a March 4 launch date for the eagerly awaited Compact SUV is a bit hard to digest. In all probability, either Ford EcoSport would be launched in late March or the automaker might ‘announce the launch’ of the new car in a very low key affair on Monday, March 4.
It may be noted that quite a few Ford India dealers have started taking unofficial bookings of the EcoSport. The bookings are being registered for an amount of INR 40000-60000 and even these dealers are of the opinion that the car might be launched soon after the announcement of the new budget. The Ford EcoSport will be launched with the much talked about 1.0 litres EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine, 1.5 litres normally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5 litres turbocharged diesel engine. The 1.0 litre turbocharged EcoBoost engine will be reserved for the flagship variants and the entry level variants will come with the 1.5L normally aspirated petrol motor.
We are eagerly waiting to sample the new EcoSport, particularly the EcoBoost variant.

It is going to fail miserably.. The way u r describong.. 1 litre petrol will be for flagship and 1.5 l diesel wngine 90 bhp.. Duster is already goodlooking and more powerful than this touted thing.. Best of luck like fiesta sedan!!
