It is a well known fact that Ford India is close to launching the all new Ford EcoSport compact SUV in fast emerging car market. There have been plenty of speculations of the Ford EcoSport India Launch date but the company has so far refrained from revealing the launch date of the new car.
However, Ford India tweeted today that they will soon make a big announcement and this is a hint enough that the Indian unit of the automaker is readying itself to announce the launch of the EcoSport compact SUV.
Ford India has tweeted, “We are all set for the big announcement very soon. So hold onto this space for more!”
As we have reported earlier, many Ford India dealers have already started taking unofficial bookings of the EcoSport. These bookings are being registered for a token amount of INR 40000-60000 and the dealers say that the car will be launched at the onset of the new fiscal. The staff at Ford India workshops has already received the training to carry out after sales operations on the EcoSport and all this means that the EcoSport might be here much before May/June.
The Ford EcoSport will be launched with the much publicized 1.0L EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engine, 1.5L normally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine. The 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine will be reserved for the flagship variants and the entry level variants will come with the 1.5L petrol motor.
