It is a widely known fact that the Ford India is very close to launching the EcoSport in India and we reported in considerable detail when it emerged that Ford India dealerships across the country have already started receiving the first batch of cars.
Ford India has so far refrained from announcing the prices but one of our dear readers, Sumit, from Delhi claims to have got a fair idea of prices from the Delhi dealer. If these prices are anything to go by, it seems like Ford India has a winner in its hands. Also, as we have been expecting, heavy localization levels surely have resulted into an ultra competitive pricing. However, we still wish to wait for Ford India to announce the prices before claiming that these indeed are the prices of the hotly anticipated compact crossover.
As per the list that Sumit has got from the Delhi dealership, ex showroom (Delhi) prices for Ford EcoSport would be as follows-

Ugly car
If this is the pricing, the ES will be flop show. I would rather pick full size Safari Storme rather than ES. Mahindra is coming up with XUV 500 W4 by end of the year for price of around 10L. Now why will one buy such compact SUV like hatch for 10L ?? Storme & XUV are far better with reviews out. Better to wait, let the fizzle die out & then when Ford offers discount, if liked, buy. At this price, ES will be dud just like new Fiesta. And yes, Hyundai, Maruti & Honda are also coming up with CUVs by end of the year. Better wait for them then.
if they price Ecoboost engine very high… seller will shy away from it. And in future if they use same engine ( 90 bhp ) in small cars like Figo etc price diff of those small models and ecosports will be odd. if i was Ford product position person i would have positioned Like :
Ecoboost 1 liter 1. with ABS (5.90 lacs)
2. ABS and Airbag etc ( 6.30 lacs )
Petrol 1.5 Automatic with ABS , Airbag etc. ( 7 lacs )
Diesel 1.5 Base ( 7 lacs )to top ( 9 lacs )

I dont thing this price figures are reliable, because you see price difference of 2lacs between petrol and diesel
2 lakh difference between 1.5 petrol and 1.5 diesel,rip off
