Mahindra XUV 500 receives over 5900 bookings within 2 days! Mahindra, News, Slider | | January 27, 2012 at 8:00 pm

Recently, we reported that the second phase of Mahindra XUV’s bookings was reopened for 10 days on 25th January. We also told that M&M had decided to use a ‘lucky draw’ system to allot the cars in case the bookings exceed 7200 in number. Seems like, Mahindra will soon have to put this method to use as the manufacturer today reported that it has received over 5900 bookings within a couple of days! Both the manufacturer and us are amazed and stunned by the tremendous response that the soft roader has got. It may be noted that the bookings are currently open across 19 cities in India-Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh / Panchkula, Ludhiana, Jallandhar, Patiala, Kochi, Trivandrum, Calicut, Trissur, Coimbatore, Nagpur and Nasik.

It may be noted that the XUV500, during the first phase of launch in October 2011, had received an overwhelming response of 8000 plus bookings in just 10 days across just 5 cities!

A case of history repeating itself?
