The details on Polaris India’s upcoming lifestyle motorcycle are scarce but Mr Pankaj Dubey, Polaris India’s Managing Director, has confirmed that the first motorcycle from Polaris India will be from the Victory line up of cruiser bikes.

It is expected that the Victory motorcycle will compete with the cruiser bikes on sale by Harley Davidson, Hyosung, Honda and Suzuki. The Victory motorcycle that Polaris intends to launch in the ever expanding Indian bike market will come to us via completely built unit(CBU) route and will be priced around INR 12 lakhs. The approximation comes from the fact that the cheapest Victory motorcycle on sale in USA is priced around INR 6 lakhs.

Powering the Victory motorcycles is a 1,731cc V-Twin engines that is mated to a six speed manual gearboxes. The V-Twin motor is loaded with features like self adjusting cam chains, hydraulic lifters, electronic fuel injection and an SOHC/4 valves per cylinder layout. Victory motorcycles sport a carbon fiber reinforced belt drive that transmits all the power to the rear wheel.
