Rejoice! KTM 390 Duke India launch likely to happen in second week of June

A hundred billion speculations and several false alarms later, we have finally managed to get a fair idea of the KTM 390 Duke India launch date from our sources. The India launch of the KTM 390 Duke is most likely to happen in second week of June, which isn’t too far away from us. There also have been plenty of speculations regarding the price of KTM 390 Duke and most of these want us to believe that the 375cc variant of the Duke would be launched for a sum of around INR 2.25 lakhs.

The hotly anticipated 390 Duke, in all probability, would kickstart a new segment of entry level performance bikes in our country’s bike market. The KTM 390 Duke is capable of dismissing 100kmph from standstill in merely 5-6 secs and can hit a top speed of around 160kmph. This alone means that the bike could really be a pocket rocket. Other than mind numbing performance figures, the KTM 390 Duke also has a really well sorted out handling package. The upcoming 390 Duke’s motor has a max power of 44bhp and enjoys a peak torque figure of 35Nm. The bike’s motor comes mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. There are good chances that the India spec KTM 390 Duke would come factory fitted with Metzeler M5 Sportec tyres. Metzeler is the premium brand of Pirelli and is known as the makers of one of the best two wheeler tyres in the world. The KTM Duke 390 will also come to us with ABS. This ABS system is build by Bosch and can be switched on or off by the rider.

Visually, the KTM 390 Duke will be almost identical to the 125cc and 200cc variants, with the only change being KTM Orange paint on the trellis frame, alloy wheels and different decals. The bike would also offer the choice of black paint option for the wheels.
