Think Moto GP and chances are that the name Valentino Rossi will be the next thought that will come to your mind. On the other hand, thinking of Formula 1 will make many remember the very famous Micheal Schumacher. Both are the 'maestros' in their respective fields. Recently, 'the Doctor' admitted that he admiration for the car racer's skills and popularity.

In an interaction with Italy's Sky Sport 24 channel, 32 year old Rossi said: "I think it's great to see [what] Schumacher [is doing]. He is ten years older than me but still in great shape and full of energy. At 43, I want to be like him."

Rossi also talked about the things in common between himself and Schumacher, "I'm an Italian racing for an Italian team, Schumacher is a German with Mercedes. And we have the same chances in the championship."

We say that we want to be like both!

  • I appreciate that you understand every one is entitled to his/her opinion. I understand what you are trying to say and I have no choice but to say that you have caught me here. We, at motoroids try our level best to give totally unbiased opinions and do away with any kind of fanboysim. Also, I quite hope that you will agree to it. Coming to this subject, well, I have no choice but to agree that I got carried away with the news about people am fond of and could not ignore reporting this. I can give my word for it that we will remain unbiased. I won't say I will stop reporting about Rossi but yes, such little news might be ignored now onwards.

    Regards.

  • @yatharth well, i thought motoroids is a automotive news site that is supposed to do reporting(especially, of events in india) irrespective of the brand/people associated and not as a personal blog where one can report based on fanboyism. or am i wrong? And as far as rossi being the bench, i dont agree with it but i aint getting into an argument since you are entitled to your opinion.

  • Dear sir,
I will be honest. Yes! This sure is fanboyism and am not ashamed to accept it. To me, Lorenzo's riding is fast becoming a benchmark, Rossi's is the bench itself!

    Regards.
