Motoroids became the first one to report about Skoda working on launching a pocket friendly variant of the Superb flagship sedan.

Now, the manufacturer officially launched the new trim level today and the variant is christened as “Ambition”. The ‘economy’ variant offers a choice of two engines- the tried and tested 1.8 TSi motor and the 2.0 litre TDi oil burner. The TSi features a 6 speed manual gearbox while the diesel has the popular 6 speed dual clutch automatic (DSG).

This variant will not feature an Electric Sunroof, the Bi-Xenon headlamps, headlamp washers, touch screen system on the center console, the Bluetooth function, ESP, Hill Hold, Hill Descent features and some other luxuries that come with higher priced variants of this car.
