SPIED: Tata Safari Storme caught testing again. When will it be launched?

Tata had unveiled the Safari Merline, nay, the Storme at the Auto Expo held in New Delhi in January this year. The car should have been here by now but all we manage to see are test mules of the vehicle. The SUV, that is expected to be launched in July, has no official statement about its launch date. It may be noted that the Storme is mechanically different from the current gen Safari and is based on the bigger sibling Aria. Recently, avid reader Ranjan Ray sent us a few pics of the Storme being tested. While it is confirmed that the current Safari would continue to sell, we are keen to know about the pricing strategy that Tata will use for positioning the Aria. Now, either Tata is testing the Storme for such a long period to make it as niggle free as possible or Tata is still not sure about the state of tune it wants the Storme’s engine to be in. We are not very happy about the styling of the new Safari and we believe that Tata needs to launch the Safari at a very aggressive price to really make people notice it.

  1. M&M is no where near TATA and vice-versa..
They have their own strategies and processes…
And at the end of the day TATA emerges reliable and entertaining…:)
