LPTA 1623 4x4 L Tata to supply trucks to Malaysian armed forces

Popular Indian CV maker Tata Motors has signed a co-operation agreement with DRB-Hicom Berhad to supply trucks to Malaysian army. The agreement is to develop and market 4X4 trucks with payloads capacity from 2.5 tones to 5.0 tones for the armed forces. DRB-HICOM will modify Tata’s LPTA 715 and LPTA 1623 models and come up with variants like the troop carriers, command post, ambulance, reconnaissance missions and others.

Tata Motors vehicles are also in use by other armed forces like that of the South Africa.
