Yamaha's 'Most Colourful Team' campaign for Laguna Seca

MotoGP will travel to Laguna Seca - the land of the Yankees; and Yankees they surely are at Yamaha USA! The firm is known to get a little quirky when MotoGP arrives to Laguna Seca. Last year the Yankaha Yamaha dudes came up with the innovative 'A day in the Yamaha office' video where Colin Edwards played a security guard, James Toseland played the mailman, Jorge Lorenzo was the sweeper and our beloved Valentino Rossi was a receptionist!

This time around, the Yamaha USA dudes have been a little sober (at least until now). They have released a new poster which shows both the M1s (factory and satellite) and the four riders in a rather old fashioned Western style. Flaunting a sepia effect, the poster reads "Here's to the most 'colorful' team in racing". We have Edwards as a classic Texas cowboy, Ben Spies as a sophisticated crook, Lorenzo plays a mechanic who like to get his hands dirty with Yamalube and Valetino Rossi as the good ol' doctor! And you thought only Rossi could come up with new ideas for witty promotion? Hope they back it up with a funky video yet again...
