I would say EVs are still not practical enough. have used a couple of them for may daily commute, and they just dont match up with even the most basic of your traditional gas powered machines... were you thinking of buying one for your dad seriously?

I will wait for PHEV's, when they can be integrated with a Smart Grid. That way my car could make money for me, when I am out riding! ;)

There is just one or two shop dealing in EV's compared to half a dozen during the inception.
I have never ridden one & thought that for commutes it might be ideal. We would be going the Honda way now.

It was horrible to say the least! Parking a few KMS away! They blocked a road without understanding that people would be coming from Pune too! The ENTIRE road was choc a bloc with vehicles, and they blocked the parallele road which would have eased the traffic big time. NEVER in my entire life has it taken me 3 hours to reach from Nerul to Vasai! :P
