Hi,
I have a pulsar 150 dtsi Nov, 2007. I am noticing a weired problem in the bike. I park the bike outside my home. When I leave for office around 10.30 am, sun is burning over head. I start my bike, it runs for about half km and engine shuts down. I can feel that bike is too hot due to sun heat. I wait in shadow for 5-10min let her cool down and start again, everything is fine it runs for whole day without any problem.
I could remember that, I faced this problem in the first month of purchase. when I parked bike in burning sun for 4-5 hrs. But then I never encountered this prob for 2 years as I used to park inside the gate.
Now, I am moved to new house and problem is back as i don't have inside parking.

In last service I asked to chk this prob, they said bike needs various cleaning like filter, tank, spark plug etc... They did it but still no result.

Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

my guesses:
1. Battery problem.. [because when engine shuts down due to heat, the kick kindof become unresponsive, just like if your battery is gone]
2. Since its oil cooled bike, what if oil itself get too hot just because its parked in sun. [funny :hail:]
3. May be service ppl did not do what they said.

Thanks.
