Any improvements in acceleration and top whack?

I have not had an opportunity to test top whack. Acceleration seems much the same, but without the body noise and engine clatter, it feels very very different (read refined). The engine also seems to have opened up properly now and is more willing to rev high.

I believe that would be a Psychological Advantage. The Rattle would consume around 20-30% of your Concentration, and thus you would concentrate less on the bikes other +points. Now the niggling issues are taken care of, that amount of concentration can be rerouted to the Whackability area ;D

Some more info, this time on speedo errors compared to the GPS.

Speedo 100 = GPS 94.2
Speedo 106 = GPS 100
Speedo 126 = GPS 120

No testing the top whack, it was raining cats and dogs and I was busy dodging poodles at night :( . What was supposed to be a trip to Anantapur was aborted at Karad as I was running very very late, and I would not have reached in time to do any of the planned work. Mumbai Pune took an amazing 4 hrs, that too in the absence of any traffic.

LOVE the frame design and finish good looking and rigid.

Did you try remove the tank? R15 style connectors from the submersible FI pump in the tank to the injector, with disposable locks, reused everywhere because of a lack of stock. Nice thing is that the filter is outside the tank, so less hassles getting to it + can be used to connect aux. fuel cells/tank.

BTW, the shop manual is now available as a hard copy (Canada, so add shipping).

Also: Kitna deti hai?
I could not run fast this time due to crappy road conditions. Leaving Mumbai, there was one bar left on the fuel gauge , I refuelled after Panvel as the bar started flashing.  500 bucks, with a further 500 filled some time after turning back. The fuel gauge hit 1 bar as I touched the Eastern Express Hwy. The distance covered - some 580+km.

Petrol here costs about Rs 66/litre.

Almost 40kpl. Helped by a moving average of about 55kph

No, didn't remove the tank. My head already spinning with all the plastics lying around in my office and to get all sorted!!!

Seriously this much plastic is just overkill. Next time I'm buying a naked or a semi-fared bike, Uughhh,

Mine's returning aprox 37-38kmpl with average speeds of over 60, coupled with the fact there are no decent roads for about 40kms on any side of where I live. Everywhere its just Single road with Road-work being carried upon ( Changing from Single lane to 6 lane expressway and worsening what's already left of the poor single road). I try to keep revs between the 5-7000 rpm mark and don't let it drop below 4000rpm

The problem is that they have made multiple small pieces which could have been larger units instead possibly to get the different colours on it.The service people know how to remove large segments at a time, they do not disassemble everything. For example, the tail cowl comes off pretty much as one piece.

Its just so lovely when all you hear while riding is the exhaust and engine noise (or in this case the music)

Hi,
First of all, Doc, I would like to thank you for your intense review about the cbr 250r, which I felt the same way while riding mine. I have been following your thread since I booked my cbr 250r black. Finally I got my 250r after a long wait of 2 and 1/2 months on 29th july. I have placed a set of questions, hoping to clear my doubts here.
The  service person asked me to keep the speed of the bike within 80 kmph for  first 1000 km, so revving it at 4.5k max to keep the  speed at around 70-75 kmph. I am getting a mileage of around 32-34 kmpl mostly in highway. Already I have covered around 400 km. Will the mileage increase after the first service? Also I am supposed to increase the speed to 100-130 kmph. Does the mileage decrease with the increasing speed even in pgmfi system? And may be i should not ask this, but what is the optimum speed to get the best mileage in a cbr 250r.
The engine feels much vibrant comparing to unicorn. Is this common with cbr 250r or it can be fixed?
The air cleaner is damaged at few places. When I was trying to fix those by myself I got them disfigured. Does it have any severe effect on the cooling?
Also during this rainy days as i was traveling around in my town, i got lower part of my pant a bit muddy. Do I need to put an additional cover behind the front wheel?
Also may be its a little funny, but I have passed over some cow dung on my bike  unintentionally, and later found out it is going up to and inside the air cleaner :o.
Last of all, can the rear seat be made thicker as well as longer for the comfort of the pillion rider while going for a long tour? Because my fat a** friends, while seating on the rear seat they are pressing over the back-light cover, which is easily breakable.
thnx in advance.
