Not true at all. Even longer list for the ZMA. As the basic bike goes, the ZMA is not even on the same planet in performance terms. All these problems are due to the ASC's unfamiliarity with the bike and Honda's crappy logistics dept. It can only improve.

doc i was talking in terms of reliability, not performance.. and honda has got to improve seriously on the logistics issue.. have heard similar complaints..

CBR parts manual.  Look up the part you need urgently (and which will be not in stock)

Went for a ride yesterday. Just a simple run-in no pushing ride and was able to knee down. The tires lost all the chicken stripes, scrubbed to the edges

The tyre looks a lot thinner than the FZ16 tyre.

Both are supposed to be 140 section rear, arent they?

They look fatter up close.. and tyre's do differ from each other in size even if company's claim them to be of a particular size..
p.s. twister has size 80.. does it look anywhere close to that..??

It's fun, predictable and easy on this bike.

Went for a short ride to Igatpuri and back, tempted by the cloudy weather. Having pellets of rain sting you through your jacket at 120kph is a great feeling. No cornering fun unfortunately as there are spots on the otherwise smooth tarmac which give significantly less grip that the rest. I could feel the rear suddenly slide and correct without any change in my inputs. After two or three of those I decided not to push it - the tyres otherwise have excellent grip even on wet roads.

Wouldn't the 'phat' looks depend on the alloys too?
I'm guessing the FZ16 has wider alloys, allowing the tire to flex a bit more.
I may be wrong though...
I like 'em Naked.

My thoughts

It was my 1st ride in the hills on the CBR and also after almost a year. Rode almost 350 kms with breaks after every 50kms. Wanted to do a good run-in and so didn't went beyond 5000rpm. Rode almost in 6th gear most of the time as there was enough torque to help keep climbing. Gear shifting smooth, didn't miss a gear of find false neutrals like on the R15. Bike didn't feel heavy at all even thru tight 2nd gear corners. Front suspension was soft but even cornering while braking the bike didn't run wide. Brakes lack bite but progressive which is good as you don't lock up easily. The roads were damp as it rains daily in the hills but even then the tires would grip after sliding a bit, also cos the tires were new the top layer is not that grippy. But when the roads got dry and smooth I was able to lean a lot more with confidence and could hold the line a lot better. Bike's flickible and stable and a lot less tiring than R15. Entire ride of 350kms used less than Rs600/- worth of fuel with over 200kms of hill ride.

Bike's done 700kms till date and after the 1st service I'd try to push as usual.
