well, thats true. Honda as a brand will always have a positive side. People trust Honda, atleast after 4-5 years after launch of bikes like unicorn, active and dio. Today people are ready to spend a bit more, but they want quality and satisfaction, for which they trust Honda, suzuki and other brands. Else, after introduction of P220 karizma wud have been out of market.
If honda releases a bike with 180-200 cc and pricing below 1 lac, it will shurely capture the market by a large margin.

Yeah, read it a few days back. Seems like the 125 is doing great for KTM... the 200 would probably do great for this side of the world!

Can't get myself to believe that Bajaj is ready to 'hand over' this year's festival season to the CBR250 and new R15 by waiting till the Auto Expo for the launch.
God only knows when will the deliveries begin.

I guess that Bajaj is waiting for the LAbor Pains, before they start delivering.

The duke125 went back to the hq for quality control. Rest assured anything with the KTM brand will undergo some amount of QC checks by KTM.


The Duke200 is touted to have 18PS and 17nm of torque. That sounds very weird if you ask me!

18ps and 17nm could be possible.. but 18ps would come close to 9.5k rpm probably and if it comes at that rev's,
it wont make 17nm..

I think it has to be more than that... If a 4 year old 220cc 2 valve oil cooled unit can make 21 ps this LC4v unit can definitely better it... Don't you think so...?

The KaTooMs are torquey by design.

Maybe they have gone by international convention and given the HP at the WHEEL. That would be about 22bhp, just as the CBR250R is rated at 22hp. Besides, this would be more  biased towards low end/mid range power and torque.

The 200 Duke may even end up as a separate model for India and other markets, as opposed to the EU where such performance upgrades are supposed to have been legislated out of existence. But in any case, the all-new 125 Duke crankcase design is sufficiently robust to accept the extra performance, and the radiator, airbox, silencer and chassis would all be unchanged for the 200cc version.

Ok the new ones make 21 and not my FI.. I think mine makes 20...
