Poor Sanket...we were posing more on his bike than himself...same goes for riding. He would have been real relieved while going back home with the bike finally back with him :D

Another Kodak moment...kissie kissie between the Apple and the Orange!

Congrats Sanket. We need to have another trauma workshop soon. :)

Regarding MID display showing FE, my friend is also getting FE between 39-41, as shown on the display. I have asked him to test tank full to tank full, as considering the speeds he is doing (and compared to the fuel going in the other bike in the ride), I'm doubtful if the actual FE could be that good. But if its, it will be a good surprise to have.

Crazyyogi,
I'm a it confused here. I also have paid up the full amount and am awaiting registration.
On reading you post, I called up the PBK/KTM and they said that they do not deliver the bikes without registration numbers ("strict company orders").
Additionally, they tell me that RTO says they need another 4-5 days to register

Question to you is, how did you get your bike? jack/jugaad/pull? And is there really an issue at the RTO, or is the dealer dragging his feet?

Nostalgic thought: Those were good days when dad took care of everything till the keys were handed over  :baby:

I would not read too much into FE during run-ins. Your riding style isn't normal and the FE typically tends to be very volatile.

Food for thought: Instantaneously speaking, I can run at 100kmph (with a small enough instance).

Hi Nikhil,

Booking was done on the same day of Lanuch , altough i came to know when the showroom guys asked me make the full payment (gift to me by my wife)

Full payment on the same day when they first called - no delay dude.

Showroom guys gave first 15 bikes on TC number and i got it inspected at RTO by myself and got it registered through a contact at RTO......... got my number within 2 days of RTO inspection ..............

would have got the number on the same day if the Showroom guys would have given the Mumbai comissioner approval letter to the agents as it was the first bike in Mumbai ...............

no jugad sir, pure luck.... till now completed 300 odd kms.... hope to complete the run in by next Tuesday will get it service on wednesday.

Thank you
Yogesh

Today will get the KTM tank full (SPEED petrol only) and will calculate the Average as its difficult to judge on the Distance to empty indicator or when its hits the Trip F meter.

gears are heard when try to get it down from 2 to neutral or 2 to 1.....else its smooth

handling is superb, specially the turns. more to come next week as going for a short trip - 300 kms + - to & fro

Thank you
