[Revmaster]

Force India have partially unveiled their new SUV, and have christened it Force One. the company will be launching the new productio in the next three weeks.
Powered by a new 2.2 liter Daimler engine with 140PS of power and 350 Nm of torque the Force One would be quite a handful its compatriot rivals like the Scorpio and the Safari to handle.
The company plans to sell 4000 units of the SUV in the first year. The SUV launch will be followed by an MPV which would be bigger than the Innova, and in 2013, a more premium SUV will be launched by the company.

One of our readers Aditya Narayan Sarangi has spied a test mule of the SUV on the old highway. There is a very high possibility that this test mule is the 4x4 / ABS version. Here's a pic, and a link to more info on the main site

Which existing Indian SUVs does it compare with in terms of size, features, etc. (forgetting the price)? Would it fall in the Grand Vitara/CRV range or Yeti Or Aria, Innova Or Scorpio? Only based on size and features, not the price.

(I haven't seen it in flesh and can't seem to figure it out from the pics)

Oh... Just to confirm, does it look like a compact SUV/crossover (a la Yeti)? Or did you mean the features?

As per the size which i had seen with my own 4 eyes, i can say it is as big as a Endeavor, or that beastly Land-Cruiser..

Right when I was thinking that (being a new manufacturer) Force has done a nice job of launching a SUV that is quite big in size and loaded for its price, here comes the M&M with its XUV 5-oh-oh to make Force go oh oh. It really will be interesting to see if people choose a tried and tested manufacturer's product over a new (relatively) entrant but with a conventional styling above the unconventional looks of  the XUV. Both seem to be equipped really well and what may tilt the balance towards XUV is the introduction of some features that are seen in cars that are positioned higher up than both.
