Mumbai Funters went riding to Tamhini and Mulshi yesterday. Weather was awesome and bad roads made sure that the riders don't forget the ride at least for a week ;) The CBR duo might have had a torrid time...but nonetheless enjoyed every moment.

Nice pics. That reminds me, its been more than a year that I have been to those awesome twisties. :)

Btw Deepak, what is with you Mumbai riders that you don't like to ping Pune guys? If Arnob wasn't enough, you have also joined his team. :(

Now wait for the weekend, I shall have my revenge.

He looks very similar to one of the guys we met on one very very old trip to Malshej!

BTW I dont mind you not pinging the pune guys, but DO ping the mumbai ones when you intend to do group ride man! even if it were another mass suicide at rajmachi :P

Start solo on whatever bikes you can man! Its the best way to start IMO!

@Navpaaji: Really sorry- but the thing is we went around circling from NH17 towards Pune. By the time we were in Pune it was already like 7.30. Whenever I think about rides- you and CV are definitely in my mind to invite- but the route of the ride made me think otherwise :(

Hi Folks,

Its been a long time I posted here. It was a painful time span of 3 months without bike and hence was not in a good mood to post anything. Looking at Dr Arn finishing his running in quickly and clocking distances as if eating a quick breakfast was making me jealous  <_< . So after the long wait came the CBR 250 in my hands and was privileged to have been part of this small one day round trip which was riddled with beautiful climate, awesome vistas, great friends, fantastic to atrocious roads and a tired ending which ended with a rise smile after resting my back at cushy bed at my residence :)

The bike's performance left me speechless. Especially after riding ZMA for almost 3 years this one is completely different package. Guys please dont pick on me here I havent ridden any of those big bikes so far and hence I am talking more from a perspective of a person gradually upgrading to what international standards would be of handling and performance (please dont read much into service rendered out while delivering this silver beauty to me because less we speak about better it is)

Although Dr. Arnob has left no stone unturned when it comes to review of the bike I would like to add my 2 paisa here. This is certainly not a bike meant to be ridden in pothole ridden tarmac. The ride left me with very sour shoulders, arms and bad upper back. It reminded me of my old steed (ZMA) which had much more upright position. But when I say this at the same time handling on slightly uneven or even slightly broken roads is something to behold. The suspension setup makes sure you never ever lose your line on the road. Its planted and maneuverability is unbelievable so is the mountain carving prowess (although got very few good sections to enjoy those sweeping curves but nevertheless whatever little I could get I gleefully accepted and screamed past them). Also by now I am more or less used to the riding position and know the adjustment one needs to make to ensure a smoother ride.

The first service is up and dont see any major issues as of now (hopefully it stays that way, wishful thinking may be  :D ) I couldnt have asked for anything more after being without bike for a longish period and after using public transport (which is a real PITA) This bike takes me everywhere and the moment smallish or biggish saddle time is over leaves me with a ear to ear grin and wanting to ride more.

Mods may I kindly request you to move this particular well thought of blabbering and well intentioned at that where appropriate if needed. I posted it here because this experience was integral part of this ride and first at that on my beautiful CBER. Hopefully this is the space for it.

Cheers
Parimal

I am honored Bro Deepak. Yes there have been a number of times that we could have ridden the tarmac together. i hope fate brings a good day for a long ride soon. there is a certain sense of belonging in a group ride. so misss the group rides i am ;) (all hail YOda)

hopefully post November we can make a trip somewhere scenic. (please leave me out of the Rajmachi Rides ;) . i am not much of an offroader. more of a Carve Curver. even straight Highways bore me :D )

Haanticha.... I thought you would be more vigilant for a Silver Unicorn, with a Grey Jacket Rider, with the Image of a Pegasus+Unicorn Hybrid on it. ;)
