I visited the Hyderabad International Auto Show.
It was good with new entrants.

The R6 gets its Peak Power around 14-14.5k depending on the year of make.
It redlines at 15.5k - 16.5k RPM in stock conditions( Source - R6 forums, Manuals & Owners)
Please check with the R6 forums, Manuals or the owners you'll get more info.
Track versions have hit 17k RPM also.
Also there will be the error which you see on the Tacho & the actual RPM.
You may be talking about the Actual RPM & I'm talking about the RPM seen on Tacho.
Not ready to debate on it, as I'm neither an owner nor going to buy it.
If you read it as 15k, then that can also be true as we have a new model every year.
I edited my post also.
Just rode it a couple of times & heard it roar 6-7 times.
I revved it only till 13k as the owner asked me not to cross13k.
So can't comment or confirm when it hits the Limit.
However it is sweet music
even at 13k.
That is what I was interested in.
