Duke - Nice, extremely light, very flickable, torquey, has THE WORST RVMs ever made on a bike. Beats the P220 in that department. If you thought it will kill the R15/Ninja in its build feel - Forget it. If you thought it will kill the CBR with the top speed, Forget it! That asides its an extremely fun bike. The build quality is good, but not top notch. The bike pulls very fast. The speedo is tiny and was a pain in heavy lights. The seating posture is nice and comfy, but very narrow.

Impulse - So-So, EXTREMELY comfortable for city commutes. Free revving bike. Indianizations has screwed the bike, 1. The pillion footpeg mounts have been weilded by a 5 years old kid so has free hand spraying. The sprockets are tuned to reduce the first gear pick up, and thus is a boringly tall geared bike. Throw the sprockets if you want to buy the bike. The front brakes are spongy (which is ok with the travel it has) the rear brake was set awry, the HMC guys say its supposed to be like that, there is toooooooo much play in the same. Over all the bikes fit and finish is superb for a commuting + weekend fun bike. Would have brought it had it been 60K or it had a bigger engine. Might still buy it for the spares that it has :D

The New Pulsar:
Phew! Its a bomb in the making. Have no idea on its vital specs, but with its looks, its up the R15 league in looks department!

Life is tough, only to make you tougher!
Ride right, Ride safe, and Ride hard!

Sad to hear about the Duke... I had higher expectations...

Not interested in the impulse...

Any clue to the proper launch/release date of the new Pulsars...?

I had guessed that the impulse will be slight boring..  Will have to swap the engine with the one in bike it will be much better them.. Similar case with the duke as it had to be a high rev motor and it had to lag in some department.. @satyen bhai what about the new pal..? No idea about its heart..? And its full fairing..? Looks as good as r15..? Too talk claim since the v2 looks a lot better..

Never expected it to bear the CBR in top speed, probably it may not be coming to our market in the expected ~25bhp spec.
It doesnt match R15/Ninja in build quality, how is the build quality compared to the rest (honda/tvs/bajaj) bikes?

What was the top speed you attained ;)
Edit: When you say build feel is it the plastics or the quality of the cycle parts? (oops, too many questions :) )

The build quality is nice.... and purely in my opinion the fit and feel of the bike (with its extremely light weight) gives a so-so feel to it. Am not saying that the bikes finish is poor, its very good, but then the Ninja 250 and the New R15 are at that benchmark a notch above the KTMs switch gears etc.

I know nothing of the new pulsar, just saw it ... :(

Satyen,
Considering your KTM ride and the pics of the new pulsar, how do you think both will be positioned (and at what price ranges according to you)?
I like 'em Naked.

My thoughts
