That sounds Inviting ;)

On the other hand, It seems that they have clad the bike in Leathers / Resin overalls to hide the details. but anyways it looks like a more powerful Stunner :D

Honestly, that isnt the bike that I saw. This looks more like a mash up job of the KTM200+P135+P200... I mean why would the image be seen on some new blog, when there are so many enthusiasts living on that side of the world as well!

The bike I saw had a new designed tank, rear still under camaflouge, but nothing like this ugly resin/rubber...

PS: the shocks looks unique! Are there two? Digital Twin Shock Integrated - The New DTSI?

I missed replying on some posts
1. Would KTM be a good upgrade. Hell Yeah!
2. Would the KTM be the ONLY good upgrade. Hell no!
3. Is it a good upgrade from the <P220, RTR, FZ -  Yes
4. Is it a good upgrade from the CBR, R15, P220 -  Not really, but it could be a damn good second bike to own.
5. A comparison here is futile, its a new league of light weight torque mills. R15 is a superb corner carver, CBR is a wonderful tourer, the KTM is 'Fun' machine!

Would I buy it? Depends on its price.

This isn't helping, really. I am in two minds about getting a replacement (or addition to ) for my P220. The KTM seems like a bigger RTR , though with better quality parts. Not as sporty or touring friendly.

I'd like the CBR250R most, but Honda as usual disappoints with the service and spare parts foibles, and the build/parts quality isn't as great either, for INR 160,000-200,000 you put out. The R-15 seems to be the best in terms of quality, but it's only 150cc and the lower torque will be noticeable for me ( ex-ZMA and still-P220 owner ) , though I'd like a corner-carver - but the pillion seat makes it a poor 2-up choice of ride. Then there's the new Pulsar , the old P220 , the ZMR and ZMA.

Its about time we discussed this guys.. Which are the bikes that you are expecting that will make debut in India in 2012..??
We all must be waiting for a long list to make debut so that we can enjoy them but unfortunately most of which would be out of our reach..
Lets try and pin down which bikes are going to be launched.. P.S do mention which one's are you really looking forward to..

Indian bikes
KTM duke 200 (i know this ain't Indian but cannot put this in the other league)
2012 pal (the bike that India drives in its newest and possibly best avatar)
karizma 250 (finally something the doctor ordered HMC will be getting the new cbr250 engine in their new bike, i am hoping that HMC do not go with the stupid naming conventions of other manufacturers and name this one something better)
Upgraded zma/zmr (I really have my doubt on this one, but heard that it will come with some much needed changes i.e. fatter rubber, monoshock, loose its chain cover partially etc, (somebody needs to ask them to upgrade the GLASS BODY PARTS they put on)
HMC 400 diesel (Have no idea how long this rumor will continue but still can wait for this one..'
RE 350 diesel (Yep, even this has been making some buzz in the auto Industry, RE might be getting back their diesel in an all new avatar)

The Big daddies..
1199 panigale (this one cant never be missed even though 1198 wasn't launched here but i am guessing that ducati will not make the same mistake again)
2012 cbr100rr (20 years but still on top)
2012 s1000rr (the bike which gave nightmares to every other bike manufacturer)
Monster 795 (The small monster probably for many among us)
2012 ninja er-6f (The bike that sold faster then hot cake)
848 Streetfighter (The bad boy which blew us apart with its stunning looks)

so peeps which one's are you waiting for..?? Do mention all the other bikes that you think that will make their way here in the next here..

Competition for a lot of bikes in streetfighter and 'wannabe touring' genre... from 2 brands.

Hmmm...

'Streetfighter' competition sounds like the New Apache and probably the upgraded FZ (FZ v2?) or the Suzuki.

'Wannabe Tourer' meaning potential fully faired CBR 250R competitors?
I like 'em Naked.

^^^

Not fully faired? Don't these guys want to make money?
Like it or not, as a market we still are big fans of the fairing.
(Just look at number of the R15s, ZMRs and even CBRs on the streets)

PS: (Personal opinion) Bring on the nakeds! :)
I like 'em Naked.

Me thinks the full faired isnt coming as they see it as a mass market big bike, a la FZ killer
