many a times non painted parts like nuts do get corroded.. So this i have heard is a good solution to it..

Is there some solvent for it if we need to remove it after application? For example, to repaint the surface.

Yes you can use it on metal parts.If you want to remove it, you can use tc28 which is a cleaner or degreaser.

Tc 28 IS cleaner and does not have wax>
