This would be the Ownership thread for the Duke 200.
Keep it clean and let me know if you need to ammend any info on the first post as a FAQ of sorts

FAQ

Engine running hot...
Engines usually run hotter during the run-in period. Just ensure that the coolant level is as specified and the temperature bar is within limits on the console (there is a gap near the high temperature mark on the console, it should be below that).

Gear-shifts are notchy...
Again common during run-ins. Owners report that the gear-shifts have become smoother after the first service. As a precaution, check the console if the bike has shifted into the recommended gear before declutching and revving.

RVMs, I can only see my biceps...
Fold (like a certain disease-preventing latex product) the rubber cover at the base of the mirror stalk. Use the bolt to rotate the mirror stalks and set it correctly.

7.5k rpm limit during run-ins...
If the rpm limit has not been set by the factory, set it yourself using the procedures mentioned in the manual (Set RPM1 and RPM2).

PS: Reading the manual first page-to-last is highly recommended "at least" once.

1) Set them a little towards yourself and Voila, you can see the road now.

3) The Radiator Fins, got hit by a small stone and got a little bent, as of now, took a compass and did a smal Do-It-Yourself Kind of straightening, thinking to get a Radiator Grille Made.

4) is there is need to change the Coolant too, may be a better one?

5) And Chase is super loose , Will get it tightened at the Service.

6) Suspension too soft, Bike washes off at turns.

Did a tour and City Ride on it during the Running it itself

You like it, good for you. I rode it, didn't like it so am selling it. Simple as that. (They won't let me test ride it for over 500kms)

LP, could you explain what you meant by "washes off"? (in layman terms, if possible)

Also, exactly what seat-of-the-pants feedback should I be looking for if the rear suspension is set too hard/soft for my payload (60-65 kgs)?
(Not saying that I might be able to gauge the suspension feedback, but can keep a look out for it)

Na Doc. Me and Bajaj products don't gel well, same is the case with KTM as its 90% Bajaj

Good? I feel its awesome on bends. Riding alongwith Yogesh's Duke, I felt that he might be taking it to the redline to get that torque to go into and outside the corners- but I could hear the exhaust was in a pretty constant mode and never did he suddenly blip it. To my utter heartbreak...he disappeared never to find me in his RVMs

I really like the Duke for the way it looks (like a millions bucks) and the way it turns...but then those are the only two points

Riders planning to buy Duke pls consider my bike too, done 600kms a week old, insurance done, bike not registered yet.

I do very good running-in. Proof can be had from Doc.
