The main thought behind the post was power, making more of it rather then making big single's just for the sake of cost cutting..

Agreed, but it would make it a good tourer.. And having that big single does increase the vibes (but then again do not know how are the new gen bikes at vibes)
Anyway I doubt Bajaj wants that tag on its "Fastest Indian cum Hunto Sports Bike"..

I doubt cost-cutting is the sole or even a major factor in deciding whether to go for a single or multi-cylinder layout.

My KTM is the most un-comfortable bike i've ever owned and this is the reason I haven't ridden it enough. I just don't feel like riding it over long distances.

So please please please if KTM is to manfuacture a 375cc bike, make it a single seat. The split seat maybe looks good but nobody's gonna notice how good it looks when one is riding it.
