Spinz if it was the first service, yes It can be true because, now they have expanded the RPM Range, hence the Power band changes and is not that Abrupt.
It is quick, but the powerband is not abrupt, if you manually change the RPM1 and RPM2 to 10k and 12.5K resp, and then drag it, you will feel that the bike goes breathless after 10.5k, I know some may again argue on this, but this is what I feel, and technically the Instrument panel keeps sending feedback to the ECU and vice-versa.
I was down with another big issue for which A very Experienced Engineer came down to delhi to FIX it.
The MEL Light, the Malfunction Engine Light, which is just next to the Indicator light, was coming up intermittently even after the engine was in running state.
they checed everything, every connection, Earthings, Horn, Water , ECU, they could not find the issue.
They Flashed ECU, Did 100's of test by a Device, there was no error code, Except on the MIL Test it gave an error: "Negitive Response from the ECU"
Then the Engg who cam from pune, had a list, he chekced a few things, and then Replaced the stand sensor and the Lambda Sensor, which finally fixed it
Could have been due to me riding to all sort of awkward places

I remember the Discussion was something like this:
KTM/Bajaj Engg: " Sir, there is a technical gltich "
Le Me : Tell me What Glitch??
KE: Sir, Some Glitch, Too technical.
Le me: (with the Bitc]-[ Please attitude) - tell me what I am technically very sound.
KE : Sir, Some Sensor Has gone kaput.
Le Me: Which Sensor?
KE: Sir, Some Sensor, I don't know.
Le Me: and then you are technical enough

Pics of my Exhaust pipe.
@others (those who know something about exposed exhaust pipes or effect of heat on metal platings)
Is this normal?
To me, it looks as if the plating is wearing off and now I'm a bit concerned about the chances of rusting.

Anyways went for a ride after the 1st service. Over 600kms total and its very un-comfortable for touring. Yes I was getting mileage of around 40kmpl as per the meter while keeping it steady at over 90kmph but I don't think it's easy to cruise at this speed. The speeds at which i was comfortable is 80kmph. My average speed was 78kmph though
Between this one and CBR for touring...Definitely CBR. Also the suspension not ideal over bad roads. The Bike hops around a lot, especially the front and the rider gets a jolt to the arms and shoulders. Crouching positions too ill-advised as my head was over the head light.
Awesomeness in the tires and the Anchors are there to pop ur eyes out.
P.S. If it gets a single seat like the R15 V1 or the Fz it'll be a lot bearable over long hauls. I think the rear-seat was biting into my hip-bone, also with the split seat lot less freedom of movement if the rider wants to move back.
Note for all Bike Manufacturers: If u r claiming your bike to be a tourer, fit single seat and not split seats.

You can heat it and dip it in Engine oil to give it a metallic golden tinge....

As long as rusting is unlikely, I don't mind.
I'm sleeping well tonight
