Don't believe the hype. Test ride it properly i mean like properly the way u would usually ride. The problem with me was mine was the 5th bike in the whole punjab nd none of the owners of the other 4 not my friend so could't test ride it. Also the price was gonna increased and they wouldnt refund the booking amount.

IMHO CBR is a lot better bike ;-)

Indeed, but then I'm not buying a bike in a hurry , probably post monsoon. I haven't ruled out the Duke 200 as I haven't ridden it, nor the CBR250R . Perhaps I'll mooch off Nitin's Duke or maybe Satyen's , which of course he will readily hand over , otherwise I'll ask for the bigger greener monster :behindsofa:  for a couple of months :fencing:
As for the CBR250, Doc will be hard to trace as he'll be on some tour or another, so I'll whack Deepak's Honda for a looooooong test ride :cheer2:

by the time I'm done with the long term review, er, test rides of the Duke , CBR250R and Ninja, it'll be well past the monsoons and I'll have decided which one :first:

Oh boy...the chain would need some serious cleaning ;)
The time I went back to the Service Center: the man folded his hands and appealed: "Sir Did we do something wrong, or why are you this to our beloved kept bike :P "

It took him almost and hour to clean that godd damm dust, and then lube it again :P

First Service Done.

1) Changed to Motul 7100 20w50.

2) Adjusted the gearshift lever a cm lower. Makes a dramatic difference while downshifting under hard braking (lessens the foot travel required).

3) Don't think there's any rev-limiter on the bike. I mentioned this to the service attendant. He revved it on standstill and it went past 11.5k rpms. He expected it to "misfire" then, but just gave me a dumfounded look. Not that I intend to test it anyway.

1) I am thinking of the same, your feedback matters :)
2) Ahaan, Indeed great.
3) Mine cuts of at 11k, and does ghain ghain ghainnn sound
Try to did a rev while riding, did cut off at 11K while riding too, i was in the third gear, if the revvlimiter was not there, i would not have felt that it the cut the power delivery.

5) Can we do something more about the Brake Pedal, At times, its difficult to find it :P
6) The wheel still keeps spinning/sliding on roads even on third gear, just on throttle no gear changes involved, rear tyre pressure 25PSI, and front too the same

What tyre pressure should I be keeping :(

Great way to spend a weekend with the Duke.

Nitin where and for how much did you get that helmet? Have yet to see such nice helmets from AGV here in Mumbai.

Thanks Again, I got the AGV from UK, :)

Solution to the brake pedal: Adapt to it :)

You're low on the rear tire pressure. The sticker on the left chain cover says 28.5 for single rider, i think.

PS: When in doubt, check the manual ;)

Do they use kerosene and a wornout toothbrush to do the job ;) I think a decent chain cleaner would have done it in 5 minutes.

Motul Chain Cleaner is the "BEST". Just a spray and all the dirt and muck drips out...only prick to the heart is the cost. Wish there was a similar product available at a cheaper price.

Not sure if they sell a chain cleaner too.

I guess it is you.

I was too lazy to check the thread. :P.

Btw the Motul is Cleaner+Lube while the OKS is only Lube, right?

^^No Sir, Motul cleaner is different and so is the lube....480 bucks per can (very effective but I feel its expensive). OKS looks like the perfect answer. I can get 3 cans of OKS @ price of one Motul ;)

It does take a lot of time to clean and not even a seconds to get back, So I am plan not to clean from now onwards :P

Deepak, the Size of the OKS is also One third of the Motul on :P, so it accounts to the same at the end of the day.

(160*3) = Motul = 480 Rs. :P
