Any idea as to the price of the 110/70/17 from

a) Pirelli
B) MRF (KTM tyre)
c) any others + their availability? (Michelin/other)

NO oversizes, and the tyre has to be tubeless, touring pattern (no sport tyres/off road).

Front..?? no idea whether you will get exactly what you are looking doc.. but if i am not wrong 120/70/17 2800/- from MRF so 110 might be a little cheaper as this was zapper with sports pattern.. Pirelli might be higher..
Forgot to mention that was rear though..

yes, front tyre CBR250.

Was just exploring the options. The tyre still has tread, but the grip is not upto the mark now. Would have loved to get hold of the BT45 there too, but - hard to get.

Any idea where can I get the Pirelli Sport Demons for the CBR250R? A friend was looking for them, either in BBY or Pune.

Metro Tyres- Lamington, am sure he will have it. Though he might quote prices as if the tyres are goldplated ;)

Just to add, I found the KTM tyres superb....specially the front- it just bites into the tarmac. No wonder we were hopping on the front wheel every now and then ;)

I think a wavy line like the Pirelli fr or barracuda would be more like it.

Silver Ph & Arn,

Just out of curiosity, what machine/tool do you use to make the grooves?
I like 'em Naked.

The "Tyre-waala" used a small hand Tool.. More like a thin plate chisel with the cutting edge in the shape of the required groove. and he used his hands, as a guide and cut it using Eye-Hand Coordination.

Doc still hasnt grooved his Tire, although he has Grooved to it... :D

the shop is in Nana Peth. I did to the original tire i had as it had a problem of skidding when straight, and was very finnicky in wet patches. it used to aquaplane easily. after the regrooving, the water had space to escape, and the tire grip increased substantially. better to leave the tire alone if it already has a center groove.

this shop is here somewhere
