Renault-Nissan alliance is getting stronger in India. They are fast expanding their line up and today, the entire nation is eagerly waiting for the introduction of Duster SUV. Now, in a recent and positive development, Nissan is planning to launch the Sylphy luxury saloon in India as soon as in 2014. The car will rub shoulders with the sibling Renault Fluence, VW Jetta and Toyota Corolla. We saw the Sylphy first at the recently held Beijing motor show.
Nissan has said that this car is more spacious than its rivals and will be powered by a 1.8-litre gasoline motor that is coupled to a six-speed manual and CVT gearbox. Other is news is that 1.5-litre 108bhp K9K diesel engine, that does duty on the Fluence, will also make it to the Nissan’s car.
