SPIED: Volvo XC40 caught undisguised

We keep posting the spy pics of camouflaged cars under test duty. This pic here is almost similar. Almost because as can be seen, the car here is not camouflaged and has been caught when it was in its full glory. This here is the all new XC40 crossover. The car, which sports Volvo’s new design language, looks  very much like the elder sibling XC60. It won’t be too wrong to say that this car is very much a XC60 but a shoe size smaller. The car will make its first public appearance in 2012 Paris Motor Show. The XC40, in all probability, will lock horns with BMW X1 and Audi Q3 and should come with a real aggressive price tag. Going by the love of Indian car market for crossovers and SUVs and Volvo fast getting aggressive in its Indian operations, this car is sure to come to our roads and it will be interesting to see if it can capture market from more established players.

The problem with India is the snob appeal...hence the Volvo doesn't do that well except the buses.

Same old Volvo tail again.. :(
These guys make C4 proof vehicles but never caught up with their German rivals.. Although they were not close on the power they offered but had good cars..
This would look fresh on Indian streets then the same old German looks..

^^^I'd agree on this. The design doesn't have the oomph factor, specially considering that the V badge is perceived by the population as a bus maker.
