SPIED: Fiat Punto facelift. To come with new features

Only recently, Fiat introduced the Linea facelift in the turkey market. Our regular readers might remember that we were not too pleased by the kind of treatment the gorgeous car has got. Back when we talked about its styling, we had wished that the elegant cousin Punto would not get a similar fascia. It seems that we will soon get to know if our prayers went answered or not. Recently, a camouflaged Fiat Punto was caught testing in Brazil. It is being said that the 2013 Fiat Punto will also get a toggle switch to select between three different driving modes; Sports, Normal and Economy. The car can be launched in Brazil as soon as in next month. From what can be made out from the pic, the car gets a tasty new set of alloys and we wish that Fiat offers the sunroof in the Indian model. While sunroofs aren’t really practical in India, it is the aesthetic appeal they have that makes us to want them. The camouflaged front and rear end means that the car will sport a new front fascia with a redesigned front bumper and similarly, a redesigned tail gate and rear bumper.

There is no news of the Linea facelift being launched in India anytime soon and the Punto facelift seems quite some time away from us.

THIS is what Fiat needs in India. Proper facelifts. New models across new segments. Not new gimmicky showrooms. Not increased GC on 7 year old cars.

Bring the Panda to India with the multijet and forget all your worries!

Facelifts don't do anything great, the Punto is a good looking car and so is the Linea for that matter, the main thing that they needed were showrooms..
People dint go for fiat as they dint have any place to service their cars near their towns, nobody wants to service their cars near a local mechanic or go to another city for it..
Step mother Tata's were so good at their job that many true fiat lovers would have murdered them..
People who went to but Punto's were offered with Indica's saying it is bigger both size and engine, better, cheaper etc..

Yes I do agree they need a bigger portfolio panda can be a good car but i am not sure where will they be able to price it since it has a turbo as well.. Multiair is something they should definitely get here though..

With the new management in place and the strategies, I think FIAT will surely rock. FIAT cafe is a small example to it. :cheer2:

^^
The problem wit Fiat is their model line-up.
Having just 2 models (Punto and Linea) makes me skeptical that if things get bad enough in Europe, they may just pack up and leave.
Not to mention that the manufacturing facility is not wholly-owned, but a JV with Tata Motors.
I like 'em Naked.

My thoughts
