Fiat India launched two new variants of its small car model ? Grand Punto. Fiat introduced 1.2 FIRE Dynamic and 1.2 FIRE Emotion as the new BS IV compliant models. While 1.2L FIRE Dynamic is priced at Rs. 4.57 lakh, the new 1.2L FIRE Emotion model is priced at Rs. 4.87 lakh. Grand Punto is placed in B+ hatchback segment which has fiercely competitive models like Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai i10 and i20.
"The hatchback segment has seen a 50 per cent growth last year in India. In fact, 60 per cent of car sales happen in this category and we have had a 5.5 per cent market share till now," said Fiat India's President and Chief Executive Officer, Rajeev Kapoor.
Fiat intends to double its sales in India this year to at least 50,000 units as compared to 24,000 units sold last year. Fiat already reported a net jump of 78.38 percent in its sales in February 2010.

Fiat should think about separate sales force, they have tie-up with TATA though. I don't think TATA sales reps are having all Fiat product knowledge and they always pull us for their cars. Fiat should not fail this time again despite having better models and decent sales.

Its is a Welcome engine for us enthiasts , however the normal Janta does not bother about the engine really .
