Bike is back. All new, only things left to do at the garage- new fuel tank float, fit chain guard. Bill ran into 6 pages . Else, only small items remain, basically a day's work. Pulled the comm system out of hibernation. Still works, just needs to be fitted in place.

All bike spares - bought.

Tomorrow - final arrangements for the courier to Manali, topbox base welding, and helmet visors to be picked up. Topbox to go for painting too

Hemantbhai only has the horrible reflective visors - he does not even have the plain one, will have to check Alibhai premji tomorrow. Bummer!

Topbox painted, fitted on adj. mount. Set forward, it will be above the airbag and the top in level with my shoulders - aerodynamic. All mechanical work complete. One of the horns has an occasional sore throat, will have to be checked + a trip to Metro tyres to find out why the rear valve core is stuck (need to fill slime sealant there!).
All meds bought.

Whats left - integration of starcom unit, incl cable.
Fibreglass base for the strap on bag on the saree guard
Helmet ear muffs
Print Limca logbook.
And....packing!

Ready to roll early morning tomorrow.

Had a scare in the morning - soft front brake. Turned out that they had managed to damage the fork seal while changing the oil:rolleyes:, and this oil was now lubricating the rotor, same guy then routed the ignition wire thru the T:rolleyes: . And of course, the only centre that DID have oil seals was at VIRAR (closer to the Gujarat border than Mumbai). So went ahead and put local oil seals, in spite of the dire warnings of the spare parts dept, as HH anyways buys from the lowest bidder (probably after bargaining, too), and local spares are usually of better quality.

But all that wasted two precious hours, even with Kevin sorting most of the mess out - else I would have just done an oil change and come away from there.

Another heads up - Cross visors are in the most part unavailable for different models, and TINTED are not available AT ALL, only the hideous reflective ones with the easily scratched coating, had to do some jugaad to ensure clean shields for the trip

Doc near Nagpur.
Doc Will reach Seoni & will halt there for the night.
I was supposed to reach seoni by now & proceed to Sagar & stay there.
However my Bike broke down & I'm back in Hyderabad.
Will be starting tomorrow night after getting the Bike fixed & reach Manali a day later than him.
