Firstly congrats again on the fridge..err.. phone!

Are you sure its getting the Froyo upgrade? I have small GB of apps and games for the Android? If I am not wrong, Rash and Eshan also have android powered phones... Our editor in chief however 'loves' his symbian powered nokia!

tat's a nice phone!

btw anyone tried creating a hot spot in the laptop and try and connect on android phone?

I created a wifi hotspot shown in the link below,
Turn your laptop into a wireless hot spot

but whenever I try and connect to the hotspot in my laptop, it says "Not connected"!
My mobile detects and it times out trying to connect!

has anyone faced this before?

@Razor you need to be putting the same time of protection and password after you find the connection.

I have a Samsung Galaxy s9000. Works like a charm. Even am desperate for the FroYo upgrade.
@Razor: I tried the hotspot thingy. It works! But its too darn slow... Am better off browsing on my mobile or using Wi-Fi. Waiting for 3G

How did I even miss this thread!!

Okk.. So I am using a Moto Backflip with 1.5 (waiting for the 2.1 upgrade like everyone else desperately:()

The Phone is Okish as far as performance goes..wish it had the snap dragon 1ghz processor!!

Android UI is pretty neat, only if it could utilize the battery properly!

Anyways here are some apps I use -

Air horn (useful to irritate people)
APN widget (so that airtel doesn't suck me out of all my balance)
Barcode scanner (You should see the expression on the face of oldies when you scan something and tell them its price :hail:) )
Camera 360 (decent but lags and FC's a lot)
Dolphin browser (saves cache on the card..so no more low memory problems)
Google sky map (I just have it cos they say its good)
OI file manager
Shazam
Sys tray monitor (displays battery level in percentage)
Weather bug
Where's my droid

Here are some games that I liked -

Air control (addictive!)
Paper toss
Sketch online (best online game ever!! but sadly stopped working after I ungraded it)
hamster climb
aTilt 3d
Abduction
Alchemy (not actually a game.. but heard you can make batman in it.. so at it :amen: )

I tried using a lot of Im managers..but came back to the inbuilt YM and Gtalk
Fring is decent but a battery and memory hogger
Pingchat is good..but not too many people on it.

And finally the most imp TASK KILLER!

As far as the phone goes, the flip thing is really funky..
QWERTY is useable and on of the best feature..
Track pad is something new in the phone.. but its irritating if u cant use it (mine is turned off.. hehe)

I actually reviewed the phone here !
