hi,

i am looking for new bike, two options i am looking at: royal enfield 250 UCE & p220f.

i will be using this bike for day 2 day use and for weekend tours.
i am 6feet &  hundred kg person. the bike must have comfort and reliability, easily available spares and service. ny budget is around 90k. let me show way out of this confusion.
cheers!
satya.

Thread Approved :D

Well I've never been a bullet guy and would always suggest the alternative :D

but then maybe the classic 350 might be a good choice aswell.

Hi Satya!

Welcome to Motoroids :D

As far as your Motorcycling buying query goes, RE's are a different clan and someone who is a bullet rider won't even consider other options and vice-versa.

A P-220 does almost all things better than any 90K bullet, except for the thump, road presence and ability to glide over bad-roads which only a true blue off-roader can.

Why don't you have a test-ride of both and decide? And to make things simpler any RE WILL have a waiting period which starts from 3 months and ends at 8-10 months, so if you are in a hurry for a Motorcycle, pick the P-220. (think about the no. of days/months you will miss out due to the ever increasing waiting period of an RE).

Keep us informed though :D

both bikes come from competely different genres. first you got to ask yourself a few basic koshuns.
1- what is your riding style. fast/ relaxed / twisties / royal / touring / city / interstate / intergalactic etc.
2- are you gonna have pillions often. how would they be comfortable with you. in a racy position or in a sofa position.
3- how much are you willing to wait and spend on the bike on a daily / monthly / yearly bassis.
once you have managed to narrow down your requirements / needs the picture becomes much clearer.
i am not biased towards any one brand (but i would say go for a Honda Unicorn. but thats another matter :D )
so narrow down your options and we will all help you find the princess of your dreams. :D

thanks guys for your reply, i was stayed on my cbz classis for year. now i have decided to go for p220F.. wise choice!!
i am aware about new pulsars will be launched in few weeks time, but still i want to go for p220. well what is worth? to stay with p220 or to wait for some more weeks? one of my friend confirmed that its P300. and after riding of some 40K with my CBZ i am happy to stay in under 250 class, that's sufficient for me... and my budget remains same..(sorry for tooooooooooooo late reply)
cheers..

satya

I Likesh the Underlined.

Anyways, what you can always do is what i also did.
when i Booked my Unicorn, i did it for the Unicorn UG2... But before i could get my hands on it, i spotted the UG3, in another showroom, and also tried it out. So i went back to the dealer from where i booked (Pashankar Automobiles, J.M.Rd), and told them i would like to upgrade my booking to the UG3. He said that the loan was already processed for the UG2, so i cracked him a deal, i pay the difference in the down payment... and voila, i got the delivery of the new Unicorn, and all was happy in Far-Far-Away Land. Coz i was soon cruising till there. ;)
See if that works for you too. book for the P220, and if the P300 is launched till then, upgrade the booking, and go for the bigger bike.

Both bikes are different in every way. So comparing them doesn't make any sense.
Think for yourself, if you are very passionate about raw power and don't care about mileage, RE is the bike for you.
And if u are really a zippy city rider, then go for the Pulsar.
