India Yamaha Motor has rolled out the 2025 Aerox 155 Version S, giving its maxi-sports scooter lineup a visual and tech lift. While it retains its sporty silhouette and performance-focused underpinnings, Yamaha has now added a splash of flair to match the lifestyle of its urban buyer base.
Colours and updates
The Aerox 155 Version S now comes in two standout shades — Racing Blue and Ice Fluo Vermillion. These colours feature updated graphics to highlight the scooter’s sporty appeal. Meanwhile, the Metallic Black variant continues in the standard version. The entire Aerox range is now OBD-2B compliant, ensuring readiness for upcoming emission norms.

Performance
Powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke engine, the Aerox 155 churns out 15 PS at 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) tech keeps the power delivery smooth across the rev range. For added control, the Aerox gets Traction Control System (TCS), ABS, and motorcycle-style twin shock absorbers — all of which aren’t common in this segment.
Smart key
The Version S trim also packs Smart Key tech, adding keyless convenience to its already premium feel. This variant aims to combine performance and daily practicality — blending city runs with occasional highway cruising. Other features include LED lighting, a fully digital LCD cluster, and under-seat storage that fits a full-face helmet.
At ₹1.53 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Aerox 155 Version S positions itself as a stylish and feature-rich option in the performance scooter space. Its closest rival remains the Aprilia SXR 160, though the Aerox edges ahead in power output and overall tech. TVS NTorq 125 XT could appeal to the tech-savvy crowd too, but it’s less powerful and doesn’t match the same sporty DNA.
Final Thoughts
Scooters may be about convenience, but the Aerox 155 is that rebel who skipped the “commute only” memo. With snazzy new colours, a Smart Key, and all the muscle it can muster, it’s basically the GQ cover model of scooters — all charm, no compromise. Just don’t challenge it to a drag race unless you’re ready to be left in its two-stroke-sounding dust (figuratively, of course).
