Ather Energy has kickstarted deliveries of its much-anticipated Rizta electric scooter in India. This new family-focused offering is designed to cater to the needs of various household members, making electric mobility a practical option for everyone.
The initial rollout includes cities like Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Agra, Jaipur, Nagpur, and Andhra Pradesh. Deliveries in other cities are expected to follow soon. Ather CEO, Tarun Mehta, announced this phased launch on social media.
Built for the Family
The Rizta builds upon the success of the Ather 450X, but with a larger, more practical design. This includes a spacious seat, ample under-seat storage, and a comfortable pillion setup (on Z variants) with a backrest.
Power Options for Every Need
The Rizta comes in three variants: S (2.9 kWh), Z (2.9 kWh), and Z (3.7 kWh). The base variant, S, offers a balance of performance and affordability. The Z variants boast a larger battery option (3.7 kWh) for an extended range of 125 km on a single charge.
Features
The S variant features a clear LCD instrument console with turn-by-turn navigation. Z trims go a step further with advanced TFT screens featuring Google Maps integration.
Charging Convenience
Charging times vary depending on the battery size. The 2.9 kWh variants take around 5 hours and 45 minutes for a full charge, while the 3.7 kWh version offers fast charging, reaching 80% capacity in approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Price and Availability
The Ather Rizta starts at ₹1.10 lakh for the S variant. Upgrading to the Z variants and opting for the Pro Pack with additional features will increase the price.
