BMW Motorrad has launched the 2022 G 310 R in India. This new edition of the G 310 R motorcycle will have a price tag of ₹ 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). With the addition of three new colour options and updated decals, the price of this motorcycle is ₹ 5000 costlier than the last version. The updated colour scheme includes Polar White with Racing Blue, Racing Red, and Cosmic Black 2 shades.

Apart from this change, everything else about this bike is the same. The design is naked with a squatting stance that resembles the S 1000 R. Other design features include a low-slung headlamp, a muscular fuel tank section, and a raked and stubby tail portion. The new red and white colour options offer red-coloured frames and wheels. The motorcycle is equipped with a full-LED lighting system, including a LED headlamp with LED DRL, LED winkers, and LED tail light. It also comes with an adjustable clutch, and adjustable brake levers with four adjustment levels, which can be customized as per the hand size of the user. While with the footrest plates and pillion passenger grips the G 310 R has a sporty look.
The G 310 R gets its power by a 313cc, single-cylinder engine delivering 33.5 bhp and 28 Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Its official top speed is rated at 143 km/h while 0-100 km/h will take 7.17 seconds. The G 310 R features 17-inch alloy wheels suspended by USDs at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The braking setup is assisted by dual-channel ABS as standard with a single disc at both ends. With euro 5 standards this bike offers effective combustion, a secondary air system and a new ride-by-wire electronic gas system.
The BMW G 310 R is one of the three bikes which are based on the 310cc motorcycle platform which was jointly developed with TVS. With an updated colour scheme and updated decals, the BMW G 310 R will be competing against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke.
