A Fresh Offering for Adventure Seekers
While the KLX 230 isn’t a new model globally, it’s a welcome addition to Kawasaki’s Indian lineup. This air-cooled, single-cylinder motorcycle boasts a 233cc engine churning out 19 bhp and 19.8 Nm of torque. Spy shots reveal India-specific additions like a front number plate and saree guard, catering to local regulations.
Compact and Capable
The KLX 230 weighs a mere 131kg, making it a nimble off-road companion. It comes with telescopic front forks, a mono shock rear suspension, and disc brakes on both wheels. The 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheel setup with block pattern tires ensures it tackles any terrain with confidence.
Launch and Competition
While a confirmed launch date remains elusive, we anticipate the KLX 230 to arrive by year-end or early 2025. While it primarily rivals the Hero Xpulse 200 4V in terms of performance, its design might evoke comparisons to the earlier Hero Impulse.
