Nissan Motor India marked a significant achievement today, surpassing a historic milestone of 1.1 million units exported since the start of their operations. This accomplishment underscores the success of Nissan’s “Make in India, Make for the World” philosophy.

Reaching a Manufacturing Milestone

The 1.1 millionth export milestone was achieved on June 29th, 2024, at the Ennore Kamarajar Port in Tamil Nadu. The milestone vehicle was none other than the popular Nissan Magnite SUV, a testament to the company’s commitment to quality manufacturing in India.

Robust Growth Across the Board

Nissan India reported strong overall sales for June 2024, with a total of 10,284 units sold, reflecting a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 76.3% and a month-on-month (MoM) growth of 65.7%. This growth is driven by a surge in exports, reaching 8,177 units in June, representing a YoY increase of 149% and a MoM increase of 104%. Domestic sales also saw positive momentum, reaching 2,107 units in June.

Nissan Magnite Leads the Charge

This SUV perfectly embodies Nissan’s manufacturing philosophy, combining Japanese design excellence with efficient Indian production.

Adaptability and Expansion

Despite facing challenges like the recent heatwave in India, Nissan India remains dedicated to customer needs. They are actively expanding their dealer network across the country, with recent additions in Srinagar, Salem, Delhi, and Durgapur. This brings their total touchpoints to 272, ensuring wider customer reach and exceptional service experiences. Furthermore, Nissan plans to expand its network even further in the coming fiscal year.

Global Appeal

Magnite has captured the attention of international markets as well. It is currently exported to 15 countries globally, with recent additions like Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. Nissan India has also seen success in exports to Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Nissan India’s commitment to innovation, agility, and customer focus is evident in their achievements. With the recent export milestone and strong sales figures, they are well-positioned for continued growth. As they prepare to launch a new global SUV in India, Nissan India remains dedicated to exceeding customer expectations in both domestic and international markets.
