Triumph Slashes Prices for Street Triple R, Raises Prices for Street Triple RS

Good news for fans of the Street Triple R! Triumph Motorcycles has announced significant price reductions for the middleweight naked streetfighter in India.

More Affordable Street Triple R

The Pure White and Silver Ice color options for the Street Triple R see the biggest price drop, now starting at Rs. 9.95 lakh, a substantial Rs. 48,000 reduction from their previous price tag. The Matt Baja Orange and Crystal White variants also benefit from a price cut of Rs. 22,000, bringing their starting price down to Rs. 10.21 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

Price Hike for Street Triple RS

However, for those considering the higher-spec Street Triple RS, there’s a change in the opposite direction. The Phantom Black, Carnival Red, and Cosmic Yellow color options now carry a price tag of Rs. 12.21 lakh, reflecting a Rs. 14,000 increase. The Silver Ice color scheme for the RS is the only one to see a price reduction, now priced at Rs. 11.95 lakh, a decrease of Rs. 12,000.

Maintaining Performance Variations

Despite the price adjustments, the core differences between the Street Triple R and RS remain. The RS boasts a more powerful 765cc, inline-triple engine that produces 128.2 bhp compared to the R’s 118.4 bhp. Both bikes share the same 80 Nm torque figure and utilize a six-speed gearbox with a quick shifter.

Hardware Differences

The motorcycles also have distinct hardware specifications. The RS features a slightly more premium suspension setup with Showa Big Piston USD forks and an Ohlins monoshock, while the R uses Showa Separate Function forks and a Showa monoshock. Both options offer full adjustability. Braking performance differs as well, with the RS utilizing higher-spec Brembo Stylema calipers compared to the Brembo M4.32 calipers on the R. Additionally, the R and RS come with Continental ContiRoad and Pirelli Supercorsa SP V3 tires, respectively.

Instrument Cluster Variations

The final differentiating factor lies in the instrumentation. The RS boasts a modern color TFT screen, while the R combines an LCD and a smaller TFT display.

This price revision offers a more attractive proposition for Street Triple R buyers, while the RS retains its premium positioning with a slight price increase.
